A new Motorola soak test for the DROID Turbo 2 suggests an Android 6.0 Marshmallow update could be right around the corner.
We still don’t know what the soak test will include, though multiple reports seem to confirm that it should roll out to a select group soon. It’s certainly possible this could the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Motorola’s already pushing the new software to its Moto X Pure Edition, so a similar update for the DROID Turbo isn’t out of the question.
Then again, this could be a smaller fix or patch, so try not to get too excited just yet. We’ll keep an eye out for any more news and let you know as soon as this DROID Turbo 2 update (whatever it is) actually arrives.
In the meantime the DROID Turbo 2 is a perfectly good smartphone. It packs a 5.4-inch shatterproof Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 810 processor, a 21-megapixel camera, a 3760mAh battery and expandable storage. It still runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, but hopefully that won’t be the case for much longer.
